Tonga at the Olympics

Tonga sends athletes since 1984 Summer Olympics. At Winter Games took the island nation became independent in 1970, never in part.

A total of 36 participants were sent, among them three women.

The Sprinter Filipo Muller was in Athens in 2004 at age 18 the youngest participant of Tonga. Even the oldest participant, the 43 -year-old archer Sifa Taumoepeau, participated in 2004.

The only medal for Tonga won the 1996 heavyweight boxer Paea Wolfgramm, of the Ukrainian Wladimir Klitschko defeated on points in the final.
