Haiti at the Olympics
Haiti, the NOK, the Comité Olympique Haïtien was founded in 1914 and recognized in 1924 by the IOC, sent in 1900 a delegation of athletes to the Olympic Games. Haiti participated in a further 14 summer games, but so far never been to Winter Games.
A total of 66 participants were sent, of which 14 are women.
Two medals were won so far from Haitian athletes. First medal winner was 1924, the shooters team that finished the team competition with the outdoor rifle as third parties.
The youngest member of the team in 1972 was the athlete Pierre -Richard Gaetjens, who went to the start at the age of 17 years. The marathon runner Dieudonné Lamothe was in 1992 with 37 years of Haiti's oldest participant.
