DR Congo at the Olympics

The Democratic Republic of the Congo, the NOK, the Comité Olympique Congolais was founded in 1963 and recognized by the IOC in 1968, since 1968, participates in the Olympic Summer Games. 1972, 1976 and 1980 was dispensed to participate. From 1984 to 1996, the team launched under the name Zaire. On winter games yet participated in any other player in the country.

2012 began with the 16 -year-old athlete Chancel Ilunga Sankuru the youngest athlete in the country part. The oldest participant was 36 years in 1996 with the basketball player Mukendi Mbuyi.
