Nauru at the Olympics

Nauru, the NOK, which was Nauru National Olympic Committee, established in 1990, since 1996 takes part in the Olympic Summer Games. On winter games so far participated in an athlete 's Pacific island.

A total of eight participants were sent, including two women. Medals could not win sportsmen and women of Nauru. A special feature is worth noting that seven of the eight participants, including women, competed in weightlifting.

In 1996, with the 17 -year-old weightlifter Quincy Detenamo the youngest athletes Nauru part. The oldest participant was in 2000 with 30 years of Marcus Stephen, also weightlifter.
