Guatemala at the Olympics

Guatemala, the NOK, the Comité Olímpico Guatemalteco was founded in 1947 and recognized in the same year by the IOC, for the first time in 1932 sent athletes to the Summer Games. Also in 1952 athletes were sent to Helsinki. From 1968 to Guatemala was present at all the summer games. For only time a delegation was sent to 1988 Winter Games.

A total of 228 participants were sent, of which 30 are women.

The only medal winner is the athlete Erick Barrondo, 2012 won the silver medal in the 20 km walk.

The youngest member of the team in 1984 was a swimmer, Blanca Morales, who went to the start at the age of 14 years. The marksman Francisco Romero Portilla was in 1980 with 49 years of Guatemala's oldest participant.
