Hans-Joachim Lück

Hans -Joachim Lück ( born June 22, 1953 in Stralsund ) is a former rower from the German Democratic Republic. 1976 Lück Olympic champion in the eighth.

Lück won together with Herbert Brewer in 1970 at Spartakiade; 1970 and 1972 were the two junior world champion.

At the 1976 Olympic Games in Montreal Lück started in DDR eighth. In the occupation Bernd Baumgart, Gottfried Döhn, Werner Klatt, Roland Kostulski, Hans -Joachim Lück, Dieter Wendish, Ulrich Karnatz, Karl -Heinz Prudöhl and helmsman Karl -Heinz Danielowski the boat was Olympic Champion with over two seconds ahead of the British boat.

The following year, Lück won with the GDR aft his second major title. At the World Championships 1977 in Amsterdam won Sredzki Gerd, Bernd Lindner, Frank Gottschalk, Ulrich Kons, Hans -Joachim Lück, Bernd Frieberg, Ulrich Karnatz, Wolfgang Gunkel and helmsman Frank Jahncke. With this roller Lück had also won at the GDR championships 1977, 1978 took the boat to second place and was not nominated for the World Rowing Championships.

Lück rowed during his career for the ASK forward Rostock and was an officer of the People's Navy. He is rowing regional trainer for Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
