Kisselbach

Kisselbach is a municipality in the east of the Hunsrück in the Rhein- Hunsrück district, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Rheinboellen.

Geography

Kisselbach is located northwest of Rheinboellen and the foot of the Soon Forest and about 15 miles from the Middle Rhine. The Simmersbach flows through the village. The municipality also includes the residential places Grings Mill, Boiler Hannes mill and oil mill.

History

The first written mention is Kisselbach as " Kisilbath " in a boundary description of the parish Mörschbach from the year 1006. Such research could, however, only act to the stream which is located east of Steinbach and is Gemarkungsgrenze today.
