Geography
Coffin Roth is centrally located in the Hunsrück between the Simmerbachtal and the Soonwaldsteig. The highest elevation of the local church is 629 m above sea level high Wildburghöhe.
To Sargenroth includes the residential places Forestry House Ellerspring, Johanneshof and Wildenburg.
History
The place belonged in the Middle Ages to the Judicial District of Nunkirch and thus to the Provost area of the monastery Ravengiersburg. 1408 became the Ravengiersburg Burger reserve complex with coffin Roth on the Palatine and of these 1410 to the newly created Duchy of simmering, the 1566 introduced the Reformation. 1673, the city came back to the Palatinate. With the occupation of the left bank of the Rhine in 1794 by French revolutionary troops, the place was French, 1815, he was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia at the Congress of Vienna. After the First World War at times again occupied by the French, the place is since 1946 part of Rhineland- Palatinate then newly founded.

The local council in Sargenroth consists of eight council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

The blazon is: "shield by golden left oblique bar divided; Top in black border, golden lion, down golden beams in Black ".
The lion stands for Pfalz- simmering, the Gold beam in black is the coat of arms of the Knights of Wildenburg who lived on the eponymous castle on the municipality.

Structures
The historical Nunkirche and the 18 m high tower Bismarck in 1903 east of the village are on local attractions of the local church coffin Roth. In the district of Roth coffin lies the ruins of the castle game.

Regular events
On the vegetated with rare orchids Rochusfeld between Nunkirche and Bismarck Tower of the traditional Nunkircher market in September takes place. On the Sunday before the market, the annual festival of the mountain Gau Turngaues Hunsrück is performed.

In Sargenroth the forest -hostel is 134 beds. The Schinderhannes Soonwaldsteig bike path runs between the village and the Soonwaldsteig.
