Kludenbach

Kludenbach is a municipality in the Rhein- Hunsrück district, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Kirchberg (Hunsrück ).

Geography

Kludenbach is located at the headwaters, Binger Bach, the Kyrbachs on the central Hunsrück plateau. Federal highway 421 runs to the east, State Road 327 north of the village.

History

Before - and protohistoric grave mound can be found south of Kludenbach directly to the district border to Metzenhausen. The first mention was made in 1173 in a deed of the monastery Springiersbach ( Richard Knight of Clodenbach ). The Counts of Sponheim had a yard to Kludenbach. There was also tithes of the Counts of Sponheim and the Knights of wild mountain. Also the monastery Ravengiersburg was well off here.

An early deserted Lampenrode still lives in the name of Lampertsmühle on.

With the occupation of the left bank of the Rhine in 1794 by French revolutionary troops of the place is French, 1815, he is assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia at the Congress of Vienna.

A reduction of iron ore east of the B421 was in the 19th century.

Since 1946 it has been part of the newly founded state of Rhineland- Palatinate.

Location description
