Sohrschied

Sohrschied is a municipality in the Rhein- Hunsrück district, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality of Kirchberg (Hunsrück ).

Geography

Sohrschied located on the edge of the Kyrbachtals both sides of the Aubachs centrally located in the Hunsrück.

History

The first mention was made in the year 1428. The place belonged to the high court Rhaunen the game and Rhinegraves. Since the 16th century the place was under the rule of the Rear County of Sponheim. With the occupation of the left bank of the Rhine in 1794 by French revolutionary troops, the place was French, 1815, he was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia at the Congress of Vienna.
