Niedert

Niedert at Emmelshausen is a municipality in the Rhein- Hunsrück district, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Emmelshausen. The place is situated on the Niedert Hunsrückhöhenstraße (B 327 ).

History

The place belonged to the lower county Katzenelenbogen. With the occupation of the left bank of the Rhine in 1794 by French revolutionary troops, the place was French, 1814, he was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia at the Congress of Vienna. After the First World War temporarily again occupied by the French, the place is since 1946 part of Rhineland- Palatinate newly formed.
