List of rivers in Ostwestfalen-Lippe

The list of waters in East Westphalia -Lippe contains a selection of rivers and lakes that are wholly or partially in East Westphalia -Lippe ( OWL). The waters are classified in the large river systems Weser, Ems and Lippe. Furthermore, they are partially divided into further sub- areas within these areas. The list does not contain all listed waters OWL, but at least all waters with a total catchment area of at least 10 square kilometers. The list of lakes is not a complete list of all named lakes, particularly because the distinction from ponds is not always clear. In Detmold the Rhine -Weser watershed, the Weser -Ems - watershed and the Rhine -Ems - watershed meet on the crest of the Teutoburg Forest, in a hydrographic watershed point, which is marked with the three river stone since 2009.
