The 35th edition of the Wimbledon Championships took place in 1911 on the grounds of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Worple Road instead.
The number of participants in the men's Single Page set a new record with over 100 players. The Briton Harold Bache used as the first player to the two-handed backhand.
Men's Singles
Anthony Wilding defended his title in the Challenge Round against Herbert Roper Barrett, after he was forced to retire in the fifth set. The final day was 31 degrees Celsius in the shade exceptionally hot.
Women's Singles
In a rematch of last year's finale beat Dorothea Douglass Chambers their challenger Dora Boothby smooth 6-0 and 6-0. It was Douglass Chambers fifth Wimbledon title.
Men's doubles
In doubles, two French were André Gobert and Max Décugis for the first time successfully.
