The 72nd edition of the Wimbledon Championships took place in 1958 on the grounds of the All England Lawn Tennis and Croquet Club on Church Road instead.
Due to bad weather had the semi-finals of the men both on Centre Court and on the Court no. 1 are discharged. The ball boys wore shorts from this year.
Men's Singles
In the men won Ashley Cooper.
Women's Singles
Althea Gibson defended her title last year. In the final she beat Angela Mortimer in two sets.
Men's doubles
In the men's doubles won the Swede Sven Davidson and Ulf Schmidt.
Women Doubles
In the women's doubles Maria Bueno and Althea Gibson won the title.
Mixed
In mixed Lorraine Coghlan and Robert Howe won.
