2012 Shanghai Masters

The Bank of Communication Shanghai Masters 2012 was a snooker tournament in the Main Tour Snooker Season 2012/13, which was held from 17 to 23 September 2012 in the Shanghai Grand Stage in Shanghai.

Defending champion Mark Selby was, however, with the 1:5 eliminated already in the first round against Jamie Cope.

In the final against Judd Trump John Higgins succeeded in the sixth frame the 91 official maximum break. It was the third 147er break this season and the sixth overall by John Higgins and the third, Michaela Tabb acted as referee. Subsequently, the Scot was able to secure a tight 10-9 victory also win the tournament, even though he had already set back with 2:7.

Seeded players who lost their first game, received only half of the points ( in the table in parentheses).
