2012 Wuxi Classic

Wuxi Classic 2012 was a snooker tournament in the Main Tour Snooker Season 2012/13, which was held in Wuxi on 25 June to 1 July 2012 in Wuxi City Sports Park Stadium.

Defending champion was Mark Selby, with the 4:5 retired in the quarterfinals against Stuart Bingham.

During the fourth qualifying round Dominic Dale and Peter Lines broke a 20-year -old record: After numerous foul points Lines won the fourth frame of the game with 108:84. With a total of 192 points scored in a frame, the previous highest score was from the game against Sean Storey Graham Cripsey ( 93:92 = 185 points, qualify for the Asian Open 1992) exceeded.

In the final, Stuart Bingham scored the 89th official maximum break. It was the total of 147 third - Break by Stuart Bingham.

However, the finale finally won Ricky Walden with 10:4, he thus secured his second title with a world ranking tournament.

Seeded players who lost their first game, received only half of the points ( in the table in parentheses).

The matches of the wildcard round took place in Wuxi on 25 and 26 June 2012.

Due to back problems Matthew Stevens said his participation from three days before the start of the final round.

The qualifying matches were held from 5 to 8 June 2012 in the World Snooker Academy in Sheffield.
