Thörlingen
Thörlingen is a municipality in the Rhein- Hunsrück district, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality Emmelshausen.
Geography
Thörlingen located on the edge of the Baybachtals in the Hunsrück.
History
Thörlingen belonged to the so-called Gallscheider court. The courthouse square was Emmelshausen. 1314 reached the place with the court to the Electorate of Trier. With the occupation of the left bank of the Rhine in 1794 by French revolutionary troops, the place was French, 1815, he was assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia at the Congress of Vienna. After the First World War at times again occupied by the French, the place is since 1946 part of Rhineland- Palatinate then newly founded.
