Uwe Dühring

Uwe Dühring ( born November 23, 1955 in Berlin ) is a former rower from the GDR. 1980 Dühring Olympic champion in the eighth.

The rowers from the SC Dynamo Berlin won in 1972 with the eighth at the Spartakiade and at the Junior World Championship. In 1973, he won the Junior World Championship in the four with coxswain. After he had become in 1977 with Bernd Hoeing fourth in the GDR championships in coxless pairs, both changed in the eighth, the 1978 world champion. But the world champion crew in the GDR was voted Team of the Year. At the Olympic Games in Moscow in 1980 of eight won in the cast Bernd Krauss, Hans -Peter Koppe, Ulrich Kons, Jörg Friedrich, Jens Doberschütz, Ulrich Karnatz, Uwe Dühring, Bernd Hoeing and helmsman Klaus -Dieter Ludwig with nearly three seconds ahead of the second placed British.
