Veldenz

Veldenz is a Rhineland-Palatinate municipality in the district Bernkastel -Wittlich and former headquarters of the county of the same name, formerly a significant principality, which belonged to 120 villages and towns in today's Rhineland -Palatinate and in northern Alsace. Geography

Geographical location

Veldenz is in the range of the middle Mosel in a wide valley landscape, which is dominated by gentle slopes and the former Mosel loops. Veldenz is located on the right bank of the Moselle, but is not directly on the water, but about two miles inland directly under the first Hunsrück forests.
