1945–46 NHL season
The NHL season 1945/46, was the 29th season in the National Hockey League. Six teams each played 50 games. The Stanley Cup won by the Canadiens after a 4-1 victory in the final series against the Boston Bruins.
At the end of the Second World War, many players came back into the league. For example, in Boston the herb Line consisting of Milt Schmidt, Woody Dumart and Bobby Bauer. The Hockey Hall of Fame was founded and the New York Rangers experimented for the first time with two goalkeepers took turns game after game.
