2008 World Snooker Championship

The Snooker World Championship 2008 took place from 19 April to 5 May 2008 at the Crucible Theatre in Sheffield held and concluded the snooker season 2007/08. Became world champion for the third time in his career the Englishman Ronnie O'Sullivan after a 18:8 in the final against Ali Carter.

For the first time in the history of the World Cup two maximum breaks have been played, first by Ronnie O'Sullivan and a day later by Ali Carter.
