Külz

Külz (Hunsrück ) is a municipality in the midst of the hilly landscape of the Hunsrück in the Rhein- Hunsrück district, in Rhineland -Palatinate. It belongs to the municipality simmering / Hunsrück.

Geography and Topography

Külz is a rural residential community with a loosely woven. The place is in Külzbachtal and is intersected by a country road. To Külz include the districts Gass and pigeons mill.

The district area is: 6.92 km ² ( 692 ha), of which 1.71 km ² community forest. The local church Külz operates in conjunction with four other municipalities a kindergarten located within the neighboring Alterkuelz.

History

With the occupation of the left bank of the Rhine in 1794 by French revolutionary troops of the place is French, in 1815 the Congress of Vienna assigned to the Kingdom of Prussia. Since 1946 it has been part of Rhineland- Palatinate then newly founded.

Parish council

The local council in Külz consists of twelve council members, who were elected at the municipal election held on 7 June 2009 by majority vote, and the honorary mayor as chairman.

Leisure

Külz is located directly on Schinderhannes cycle path.

Economic and Commercial

Külz has a bakery, two carpenter's, a restaurant with a beer garden and a clothing store. On a hill east of the community of the wind farm is Külz with ten wind turbines of the type Enercon E -70 and Enercon E- 82nd
