Saint-Rhémy-en-Bosses

Saint- Rhémy -en -Bosses is a town with 350 inhabitants (as at 31 December 2012) in the autonomous region of Aosta Valley. The municipality is situated on the left bank of the Dora Baltea to an average height of 1632 meters slm and has a size of 65 km ².

The neighboring communities are called Avise, Bourg -Saint -Pierre ( Switzerland ), Courmayeur, Gignod, La Salle, Orsières ( Switzerland ), Saint- Oyen and Saint- Pierre.

Saint- Rhémy -en- Bosses, on the road to Big Saint Bernard ( district Cerisey ). Parts of the old Roman road Via Francigena are seen in the vicinity yet.

During the Fascist period, the village bore the name of San Remigio Italianate.
