Geography

History

Town of Usedom

The name of the town of Usedom is derived from the Slavic " Uznam ". " Uznoimia civitas " was first attested in 1125 by the missionary here Bishop Otto of Bamberg for the city in the southwest of the island. Through the town of Usedom leads as Südanbindung the island of Usedom, the national road 110 (B 110).
