Roccagiovine

Roccagiovine is a municipality in the province of Rome in the Italian region Latium, located about 271 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). It is located 52 km northeast of Rome and about 300 inhabitants. The name derives from the Latin Arx Iunionis, castle ( Rocca Italian = ) the Juno ago.

Geography

Roccagiovine is located in the Natural Park of Lucretili. It is a member of the Comunità Montana Valle Aniene.

Roberto Gianfelici was elected in May 2006 to the mayor.

Since 1993 Roccagiovine maintains a partnership with the community Dampierre- lès- Conflans in the French region of Franche -Comté.
