Ponzano Romano
Ponzano Romano is a municipality in the province of Rome in the Italian region Latium, located about 1225 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012).
Geography
Ponzano Romano is situated on a ridge south of the Tiber River and borders the province of Rieti. The place is the northernmost province of Rome. It is located 56 km north of Rome and 49 km south of Terni.
The neighboring municipalities are Civita Castellana (VT), Civitella San Paolo, Colle Vecchio (RI ), Filacciano, FORANO (RI ), Nazzano, Sant'Oreste and Stimigliano (RI ).
Traffic
With the new motorway Ponzano - Soratte the place is just off the A1 Autostrada del Sole. The nearest train station Stimigliano on the railway line Rome-Florence is 7.5 km from the center.
