1993 Tour de France

The 80th Tour de France took place from 3rd to 25 July 1993 and led it on 20 stages over 3714 km. It was attended by 180 racers participated in the tour, which were classified by 136.

Race course

1993 Miguel Indurain won his third Tour de France in a row. Its clear dominance he should have put in the prologue to the test, he won and immediately wore the yellow jersey. His biggest rival Tony Rominger should already lose crucial ground the team time trial on stage 4. Romingers entire team Clas consisted in a poor time trial results for a time penalty, since a driver let himself be pulled from the team car without permission.
