Hohenfelde, Mecklenburg-Vorpommern

High field is a municipality in the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Office of Bad Doberan country with headquarters in Bad Doberan.

High field is located 4 km south of the town of Bad Doberan. Up to the Hanseatic city of Rostock is about 15 km as the crow. Due to the higher location of the village, a view of the Hanseatic city to the Baltic Sea is possible. At high field includes the hamlets of New High field, Ivendorf (1952 amalgamated ) and Forsthof.

History

High field was first documented in the year 1177 named as " Putechowe " in an enumeration of the possessions of the Cistercian abbey founded Doberan. Thus Hohenfelde is one of the oldest communities in Mecklenburg. The original name for Hohenfelde Putechowe, Putecha or Putekowe, as it was from 1192, is of Slavic origin and is expected to be derived from the location of the Potech, where tech means as much as comfort or joy. High field was first mentioned with his German name in 1312.
