Lalendorf

Lalendorf is a municipality in the district of Rostock. It is located in the geographical center of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Office Krakow am See, located in the eponymous city.

Geography

Between the towns Gustrow, Teterow, Laage and Krakow am See Lalendorf the community is located in the forest and lakes region of the lake district and the western reaches of the Mecklenburg Switzerland. The relief is hilly, there are heights up to 60 m above sea level. NN achieved. History

Lalendorf is best known for outstanding Germanic finds the 1st century AD, which are classified into the series of princely graves from Lübsow type. 1361 Lalendorf was first mentioned. The former Good Lalendorf was the construction of the railway lines Güstrow Teterow and Rostock- Waren (Müritz ), at the Cross, the Lalendorf station is upgraded.

Lalendorf is now a center of agricultural production (including horse breeding in the district Vogelsang ). Thanks to the favorable infrastructure, some companies and enterprises have settled in Lalendorfer commercial area in recent years. The coat of arms was approved on 19 March 1998 by the Home Office and registered under No. 151 of the coat of arms role of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

The coat of arms was designed by the Schwerin heraldist Heinz Kippnick.

Flag

The flag of the municipality is transverse to the longitudinal axis of the bunting of red, silver (white) and red striped. The red stripes take a quarter each, the silver (white ) strip takes up half the length of the bunting. In the middle of the silver ( white ) strip the coat of arms, which occupies two thirds of the height and one-third the length of the bunting is. Transport links

Through the west of the municipality into north-south direction, the Federal Highway 19 ( Rostock- Berlin) with the junction Güstrow. In the east-west direction 104 connects the highway with the community Lalendorf Güstrow and Teterow. In the town over the railway lines Rostock- Neustrelitz and Güstrow Neubrandenburg.
