Retschow

Retschow is a municipality in the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Office of Bad Doberan country with headquarters in Bad Doberan.

The place name derives from the Slavic word " rez " = rye. This was from Rezhecow - Retschow. To Retschow include the districts Fulgenkoppel, Glashagen Stülow.

Geography

The community is located between the towns of Bad Doberan, Kropelin and the community Satow in a hilly area, which connects to the south-east ridge of the cooling.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms was approved on 26 October 2000 by the Home Office and registered under No. 231 of the coat of arms role of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.
