Klein Upahl

Small Upahl is a municipality in the southwest of the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Office Güstrow country located in the not office belonging Güstrow.

Geography

The municipality Klein Upahl heart of the Mecklenburg Lake District is located in a hilly area between the cities of Güstrow, Biitzow and Goldberg. The municipality Small Upahls borders the district of Ludwigsburg pleasure Parchim. West of the village there is the nature reserve of the United Upahler Lake, a few kilometers south of the nature park Nossentin / Schwinzer Heath. In addition to a country inn Klein Upahl has to have a land art museum.

History

The municipality was created on 16 January 1992, the eponymous district of the dissolved municipality Gerdshagen.

The municipality is situated on the road connecting Biitzow Goldberg, by the neighboring community Gülzow - Prüzen leads the federal highway 104 The nearest railway station is located in the district town, 12 km away Güstrow.
