Klein Kussewitz

Small Kussewitz is a municipality in the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Office Carbäk based in the community Broderstorf.

Geography

The municipality Klein Kussewitz located 10 km east of Rostock in a flat wave field between the small river Carbäk and the Peezer Bach, both of which flow west to the lower Warnow.

Too Small Kussewitz includes the hamlets of Great Kussewitz and Volkenshagen.

Attractions

The stone church in the district Volkenshagen dates from the 13th century and was restored in 1892-1895. The built of brick tower has an octagonal floor and a spire. In the church there are the remains of neo-Gothic interior and a grave stone with inscription from in 1580.

The manor house was built Kussewitz small end of the 19th century. Today there musical events are held regularly and it can be rented for private parties. Next to it is a former silo of 1928, the 2000 was converted into a residential building. The two buildings stand as well as the adjacent memory conservation. The same applies to the manor from 1805 and another silo in the United Kussewitz.

Traffic

The nearest train station is one kilometer west of the village center railway station Mönchhagen.
