Poppendorf

Popp village is a municipality in the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Office Carbäk based in the community Broderstorf. The municipality consists of the villages of buses joke Vogtshagen and Popp village.

Geography

The community Popp village is situated at 15 km from Rostock and the Baltic Sea coast. The hilly area is drained by the river in the direction Peezer Breitling. East of Popp village stretches a vast forest, which is designated as a conservation area.

History

The place Popp village was first mentioned in 1286. The former manor had many owners. It included, among other the Klarissinenkloster Ribnitz. When the district Vogtshagen there is a " mountain Jews " ( Vogtshagen 1) called motte and a medieval castle site with tower hill and Graded ring ditch ( Vogtshagen 3).

Economy and infrastructure

Popp village is the site of a company for the production of fertilizers and industrial chemicals. The fertilizer plant at Popp village has a railway siding. By Poppendorf the country road runs 182

2003 Popp village was an outdoor location of the International Garden Show.

In the community Popp village there is a small community fire department for fire protection and general help.
