Ziesendorf

Ziesendorf is a municipality in the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Office Warnow - West, located in the municipality Kritzmow.

Geography

To Ziesendorf include the districts Buchholz, Buchholz Heath, Fahrenholz and Nienhusen.

The community is situated in a ground moraine Ziesendorf between the Waidbach and Beke, a left tributary of the River Warnow, is about 12 km from the port and Hanseatic City of Rostock. The district Fahrenholz is surrounded by nature reserves of driving Holzer forest and Waidbach floodplain in a semicircle.

History

1298 the village was first mentioned as " Cisendhorp " documentary. In recent years Ziesendorf was as a residential area in the countryside very interesting for many Rostock. Numerous industries have settled because of the good transport links ( Baltic Sea motorway A 20) ( including " Coca -Cola North ").

Policy

The municipal council consists (including mayor) of 10 members. The choice for the local council on 7 June 2009 had the following results:

Mayor of the municipality is Harrismith farmer, he was elected with 68.7 % of votes.

  • Neo-Gothic village church Buchholz ( Ziesendorf ) of 1878 of brick, which was rebuilt after a fire in 1914 to 1925 with short west tower; Pulpit of 1740 and Runge - organ of 1930.
