Nustrow

Nustrow is a municipality in the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Office of Ticino, located in the eponymous city.

Geography

The municipality is located in Nustrow slightly rolling terrain between the rivers Recknitz and Cernosin in northeastern Mecklenburg. The nearest towns are Ticino, Tribsees, bathroom brawn and Gnoien.

History

Nustrow was documented as " Nuttzerow " in 1479 and is expected to be in name of Slavic origin. Since the 15th century this was the Behr family resident here and had a castle. The first castle was completely destroyed in a feud between Stralsund and Greifswald. To 1532 Renaissance castle was built, which was in 1830 after the sale of goods canceled after the family von Schack. This was built at the same place the classicist manor house still preserved by the architect Carl Theodor Severin.
