Finkenthal

Finke valley is a municipality in the east of the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). The municipality is the Office Gnoien, located in the eponymous city, managed.

Geography

The community of Finke valley between the small towns Gnoien Dargun and is surrounded by forest, in slightly hilly terrain. In the east, the municipality borders the district of Mecklenburg Lake District. Near the village of Schlutow 44 m above sea level. History

In a document of the monastery in 1178 Dargun the places Finkenthal and Schlutow already been mentioned. Finke valley was originally created as Angersdorf.

Attractions

In Finkenthal today are some buildings under monument protection, among other things, the Forsthof and a Low German hall house. Also worth seeing is the 1805 half-timbered style chapel, which replaced a previous building first mentioned in 1560. The chapel has a small organ in the first half of the 19th century.

Federal highway 110 crosses the area, it leads from Rostock to Demmin. About the connection points Ticino and jellied Bad Finke valley can be reached from the motorway from 20 (distance about 17 km). The nearest train stations are in Ticino and Demmin.
