Vorbeck

Vorbeck is a municipality in the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Office Schwaan based in the same city.

Geography

The community Vorbeck is on a slight hill on the left bank of the Warnow, about three kilometers from the city Schwaan.

The Gothic brick church in Kambs was built in 1260. The square choir and the north sacristy date from this time. 1862/63 nave and tower were rebuilt in neo-Gothic style. Because of disrepair the tower after demolition in 1960 had to be re-installed. In-room amenities include a pastor paintings from the 18th century and a two-wing carved from the second half of the 15th century, in whose shrine the apocalyptic Madonna, in the wings in two rows of apostles and saints and painted on the wing backs Passion scenes are shown.

Nearby points Kambs are erected around 1860 and the rectory dating from the 1923 renovated farmhouse with park.
