Hohen Sprenz

High Sprenz is a municipality in the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Office Laage, located in the eponymous city.

Geography

The community of High Sprenz lies between the cities Schwaan and Laage, located about 22 km from Rostock. The area is determined by an undulating ground moraine, which (in the west ) and the Recknitz is limited (to the east ) from the glacial valleys of the river Warnow. Nestled in these hills include the approximately 2 km ² High Sprenzer lake and the smaller Papensee. Through the municipal area flows the Mühlbach, which drains south to the fog. The community of High Sprenz on the west by the Office Schwaan.

High Sprenz and the districts Dudinghausen, Small Sprenz and Woland grouped around the High Sprenzer lake.

History

1270 appeared the name of the village High Sprenz first documented on at this time, the church almost 50 years.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms was designed ( to 2009 Mayor of High Sprenz 2004 ) by Helmut Otte and approved by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Mecklenburg- Vorpommern on 19 June 2009. At the same time, developed by Helmut Otte blue and white horizontally striped flag was approved by the borough arms High Sprenz.

Blazon: " Argent, a bent- blue lace, topped with three ( 2:1 ) to the left -turned silver fish; forward two diagonally crossed black flail; behind a red church with two arched windows and a hall extension with a rectangular window. "

Economy and infrastructure

In addition to agriculture, which characterizes the area, the High Sprenz is today because of the favorable infrastructure an attractive residential location ( near Rostock, Güstrow and airport Rostock-Laage ). In the village there is a daycare center and a guest house.

Through the village the road from Schwaan leads to Laage. The motorway connection Laage on the A 19 is only 8 km from High Sprenz, the airport is 6 km. The nearest railway station is located in the city Schwaan ( routes Rostock- Güstrow and Rostock -Schwerin ).
