Broderstorf

Broderstorf is a municipality in the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). It is the seat of the Office Carbäk, belonging to the other four municipalities.

Geography

The community Broderstorf is about 8 km east of Rostock on the main road 110 ( Rostock- Demmin - Usedom). It lies on a plate between the valleys of the River Warnow, the Recknitz, in the northern foothills of the Pomeranian Hauptendmoräne.

To Broderstorf include the districts Fienstorf, Ikendorf, New Broderstorf, New Village, New Pastow, New Roggentin, Öftenhäven, Pastow, Roth Beck, Steinfeld and Tesch village. The districts New Roggentin, Pastow and Broderstorf are typical street villages, while Neuendorf and Tesch village Gutsdörfer are from the plant.

History

Broderstorf was first mentioned on 16 October 1327. The village lay on the important trade route from Lübeck Rostock to Stettin. On a map of 1650, the town was still called " Broderstorp ". On 1 January 2013, the municipality Steinfeld was incorporated into Broderstorf.

The municipal council consists (including mayor) of 15 members. The choice for the local council on 7 June 2009 had the following results:

Mayor of the municipality is Hanns Lange ( WG Broderstorf ), he was elected with 67.0 % of votes.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms was approved on 3 April 2001 by the Home Office and registered under No. 241 of the coat of arms role of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

Blazon: " Azure, two decreased silver shaft threads a torn, red gezungter golden griffin's head. "

The coat of arms was designed by the Schwerin heraldist Heinz Kippnick.
