Diekhof

Diekhof is a municipality in the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Office Laage, located in the eponymous city.

Geography

The community Diekhof lies between the cities Gustrow, Teterow and Laage in the transition region from the upper Recknitztal the Mecklenburg Switzerland. Through the municipal area flows toward the Schaalbeke Recknitz. In the hilly area reached near the village of the district Lüning Schmooksberg 127.5 m above sea level. NHN. There is one of six nationwide SREM radars of German air traffic control.

To Diekhof include the districts Alt Diekhof, Diekhof settlement, Drölitz, Knegendorf, Lissow, Lüning village, Pölitz and Striesenow.

History

The settlement Diekhofs probably goes back to the 12th century. The settlement Diekhof on the road to Güstrow emerged in the 1930s. The district Pölitz appeared in 1343 the first time in a document.

Diekhof is now elementary school site has a large sports field with sports hall.

Pölitz was incorporated on January 1, 2004.

Coat of arms

The coat of arms was approved on 11 June 1998 by the Home Office and registered under No. 164 of the coat of arms role of Mecklenburg-Vorpommern.

The coat of arms was designed by the Schwerin heraldist Heinz Kippnick.

Attractions

  • Manor with chapel, park, tea pavilion and stables in Diekhof yard. The Good Diekhof was originally owned by the family of Voss until 1462 it passed to the family of Hahn, who held the estate until 1771. Later Diekhof belonged to the Counts of Wallmoden. In 1845, the estate then came into the possession of the family of Bassewitz. Already 1732-1739 a baroque mansion was listed with cavalier houses of the faucet. There was a castle-like three-wing building with courtyard. 1768 a Rococo chapel was added by the builder CD Holle. 1945 the building burned down for the most part, only one wing and the Rococo chapel still exists.

Transport links

Through the village the road from Güstrow leads to the main road 108 (Rostock - Teterow ). The motorway connection Glasewitz at the Federal Highway 19 is just a few miles from Diekhof. West of Diekhof is the breakpoint Subzin - Liessow on the railway line Neustrelitz -Warnemünde.
