Kritzmow

Kritzmow is a municipality in the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). The municipality is the seat of the Office Warnow -West, members of the six communities.

Geography

The community Kritzmow, on a slightly higher area between the valleys of the Warnow and Waidbaches, adjacent to the southwest of the port and Hanseatic City of Rostock.

To Kritzmow includes the villages of Great Schwaß, Small Schwaß, Klein Stove and Kritzmow.

Policy

Municipal council and mayor

The municipal council consists (including mayor) of 15 members. The choice of 7 June 2009 had the following results:

Mayor of the municipality is Thomas Knopp (CDU Community Kritzmow ), he was elected with 60.0 % of votes.

Blazon: " Angular links shared; up in a torn blue, red gezungter golden griffin's head; below in gold a slight left lying, fallen red Abtstab with a broken stem. "

Economy and infrastructure

Its proximity to the Hanseatic city of Rostock, the presence of several industrial and craft enterprises and the attractive building areas, the community was able to greatly increase its population against the trend in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern.

The immediate vicinity of Rostock offers Kritzmow convenient access to the national transport routes. Through the municipal area which was completed in 2003, two-lane highway passes 103 (formerly B 103n ), an important source of the federal highway 20 to the Hanseatic city. The train station in the village of Great Schwaß is on the railway line Rostock -Wismar.
