Posta Fibreno
Posta Fibreno is a municipality in the province of Frosinone in the Italian region Lazio, 1193 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). It is located 119 km east of Rome and 38 km north-east of Frosinone.
Geography
Fibreno Posta is situated on a steep hill above the valley of the Fibreno in the countryside of Ciociaria. It is a member of the Comunità Montana Valle di Comino. The districts are next to the old city ( Centro Storico ) Camminate, Campo Gizzi, Carpello, Casalvittoria, Colle Roccia, Cona, Lollo, Piscina, Pizzone and Tagliata.
The nearby towns are Alvito, Broccostella, Campoli Apennines, Fontechiari and Vicalvi.
Traffic
Posta Fibreno, is connected with the Strada Statale 627 della Vandra that leads from Sora to Isernia to the road network.

Lago di Posta Fibreno
In the valley below the old town of Lago di Posta Fibreno, which forms the center of a 400 acre nature park stretches. It was founded in 1983 in collaboration with the WWF. The lake is full of fish, including the coming Carpione del Fibreno, one trout (Salmo fibreni ), endemic to the lake front. Another special feature is a floating island of 30 m in diameter, which was described by Pliny.
