The list of cities in Thailand provides an overview of the development of the population of the larger cities of the South East Asian country Thailand

By far the largest agglomeration in Thailand is Bangkok, with a population of 10,751,348 (as of 1 January 2007). Thus 17 percent of the country's people live in the capital region.

The following table lists the cities with more than 40,000 inhabitants, whose name in transcription according to the rules of the Royal Institute of Thailand and in Thai, and the results of the census ( VZ ) of 1 April 2000. The population figures are for January 1, 2007 World Gazetteer on the basis of census results from 2000, published by the National Institute of Statistics in Thailand, is calculated. Listed is also the parent administrative unit ( province ), to which the city belongs. Bangkok has a special status and belong to any province. The population figures refer to the respective city in its political boundaries, without politically independent suburbs.
