Mazda Premacy

Mazda Premacy (1999-2001)

The Mazda Premacy is a compact MPV by the Japanese car manufacturer Mazda, which came on the market in June 1999. The internally designated as CP Mazda Premacy was built in Japan and exported to Asia and Europe. In some Asian countries (including Japan), the car was offered as the Ford Ixion or Ford MAV.

History

The Mazda Premacy was a two-row compact MPV for five passengers, with removable seats and front wheel drive. He used the Mazda CP platform and was later available as Active 7 version. This had seven seats and was now able to keep up with the successful Opel Zafira.

In October 2001, the Premacy received a facelift, while the lights and headlights, the skirts and bumpers and the interior have been revised.

By the end of production on 31 March 2005 285 258 copies were sold worldwide. Since April 2005, the successor is marketed under the name Mazda5, but in Japan it is still called Premacy.
