Giampiero Boniperti ( born July 4, 1928 in Barengo, Novara Province ) is a retired Italian footballer. To date, he is one of the most successful striker in the history of Juventus, where he is active in the club's management to date.

Career

Boniperti one of the really big players in Italian football. Especially in his parent club Juventus he is still one of the most charismatic and best players of all time and he is known and revered to this day. The age of eighteen he moved, influenced by Giovanni Agnelli, to the people of Turin and played on March 2, 1947 his first game in Turin. In his youth, he also maintained a friendship with Fausto Coppi.

In the 1947/48 season Boniperti was as a 19- year-old with 27 -goal top scorer in Serie A - to date, no top scorer in the Italian league was younger.
