Mönchhagen

Mönchhagen is a municipality in the district of Rostock in Mecklenburg- Vorpommern ( Germany ). The community is managed by the Office Rostock Heath, based in the community Gelbensande.

Geography

The community Mönchhagen located on the eastern outskirts of the Hanseatic city of Rostock in a mainly flat area that is drained by the Peezer Bach for Breitling. The Baltic coast is only ten kilometers from Mönchhagen ( beach Markgrafenheide ).

To Mönchhagen the district bunny village belongs (1970 amalgamated ).

History

1252 emerged the place Mönchhagen first time in a document.

The community is predominantly agricultural, but has a residential location since 1991 - particularly for newcomers from nearby Rostock - developed.

Flag

The flag of the municipality Mönchhagen is transverse to the longitudinal axis of the bunting of blue, striped gold ( yellow) and blue. Economy and infrastructure

Besides serving as a residential community, there are some farms, small commercial and petrol station. The place is a classic street village. A majority of the buildings lined up along the cross located to the highway 105 Main Street on ( " lower village ").

Transport links

Mönchhagen is located on the main road 105 and has its own railway station with connection to the parallel train from Rostock to Stralsund. In six kilometers away, there is a junction with the highway 19 (Rostock - Berlin).

Facilities
