Sant'Oreste
Sant'Oreste is a municipality in the province of Rome in the Italian region Latium, located about 3644 inhabitants ( 31 December 2012). It is located 46 km north of Rome. The place name is a variant of the local saint Edistus, the Sant'Edisto, a Roman martyr of the year 64 AD
Geography
Sant'Oreste is located on the southeastern slope of Mount Soratte in a panoramic position overlooking the valley of the Tiber. A large part of its territory belongs to the Nature Reserve Monte Soratte.
The municipality also includes lying in the valley districts Murella, Ponticello, Selva Grande and Valle Prato. The neighboring municipalities are Civita Castellana (VT), Civitella San Paolo, Faleria (VT), Nazzano, Ponzano Romano, Rignano Flaminio and Stimigliano (RI ).
Traffic
Sant'Oreste is above the Via Flaminia, which connects the city with Rome. The nearest highway exit on the A1 Autostrada del Sole motorway is Ponzano - Soratte 8 km away.
Sant'Oreste has a station on the railway line Roma - Viterbo Flaminio.

Policy
Sergio Menichelli (civic list Sant'Oreste cresce e si Rinnova ) was elected in June 2009 for the mayor. He solved Mario Segon from (since 2004), who did not run.
