Risk number
Meaning of the digits:
- 2 - risk of escape of gas due to pressure or chemical reaction
- 3 - Flammability of liquids (gases / vapors) or self -heating liquid
- 4 - Flammability of solids or self -heating solid
- 5 - Oxidizing (fire -intensifying) effect
- 6 - Risk of toxicity or infection
- 7 - Risk of radioactivity
- 8 - Danger of corrosion
- 9 - at 1st position: Environmentally hazardous substance; Miscellaneous dangerous substances
- 9 - to 2nd or 3rd position: Risk of spontaneous violent reaction
- 0 - No special danger (only as a placeholder the second location )
- X - Reacts dangerously with water ( the number prefixed )
