The HK Lokomotiv Yaroslavl (Russian Хоккейный Клуб Локомотив Ярославль / Chokkejnyj club Lokomotiw Yaroslavl ) is an ice hockey club established in 1959 from the Russian city of Yaroslavl. The club belongs since 2012 back in the Kontinental Hockey League. After a plane crash in September 2011, in which nearly the entire crew was killed, a new team has been set up in the play mode of Wysschaja Hockey League. History

In Yaroslavl teams were initially as Lokomotiv Yaroslavl (1949-1955), Spartak Yaroslavl ( 1955-56 ) and Chimik Yaroslavl ( 1956-57 ) is active, all of which participated in the regional championship of the Russian SFSR. In the second and third division (1965-1987)

Plane Crash (2011)
