Geography
The municipality is located on the Warnow transverse valley of the river Warnow, which occurs below the location in the basin and to Bützower Schwaan follows to the northeast. The coat of arms was approved by the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Mecklenburg- Vorpommern on March 3, 2010. It is registered under the number 330 in the coat of arms role of the state Mecklenburg -Vorpommern.

Explanation of symbols: The blue wave -held oblique beams symbolizes the meandering river Warnow. For the black oak branch with the nine acorns results in a twofold symbolism. The figure of the black bird suggests the translation and derivation of the word Warnow from the Slavic language. The flag of the municipality Warnow consists of a yellow cloth.
